How this laptop guide works

Instead of recommending a specific model (shop prices and stock change every week), this tool tells you the specs to look for. Take the list to any shop or online store and compare laptops against it.

Questions

Is 8 GB RAM enough in 2026?

For study, office work and browsing, yes. For programming, design, editing or gaming, get 16 GB. If you plan to keep the laptop for years, make sure RAM can be upgraded.

Should I buy a used laptop in Pakistan?

A used business laptop (ThinkPad, Latitude, EliteBook) is often better value than a cheap new one. Test it carefully using the checklist this tool gives you, and get a checking warranty.

SSD or hard disk?

Always an SSD. It makes even an older laptop feel fast. Avoid laptops with only a hard disk (HDD).

Are the budget ranges accurate?

They are rough estimates for the Pakistani market and are reviewed regularly, but prices change with the dollar rate. Always compare a few shops before buying.
