How to make a WhatsApp link and QR code

  1. Enter your WhatsApp number, for example 03001234567.
  2. Optionally add a message customers will see ready to send, like "I want to order".
  3. Copy the link for your Facebook page, Instagram bio or website, and download the QR for your shop counter, visiting card or flyer.

Questions

Does the customer need to save my number?

No. Opening the link or scanning the QR starts a WhatsApp chat with you straight away, without saving the number.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. The same wa.me link works for normal WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business numbers.

Which QR file should I use for printing?

SVG stays sharp at any size, so give it to your printer for flex, banners and cards. PNG is fine for social media and documents.

Does the QR code expire?

No. The QR contains your link directly, with no tracking service in between. It works as long as your WhatsApp number does.
